Colophon

Right now, I work as an "Applications Developer" for the University of Michigan, particularly the Literature, Science & Arts' Development, Marketing & Communications, living in Ann Arbor with my wonderful girlfriend Camille. I came to the U.S. at the age of 14, when to college at the University of Dayton, Ohio, and finally completed a M.A. in South Asian Studies at the University of Michigan. For the last six years I have studied primarily History and Political Science, dabbling in web development, as it helps pay the rent. Recently, on this blog, I started dabbling in reviews to exercise my brain, as it helps condense and filter my thoughts.

I love entertainment, particularly good entertainment and am not unashamed to say I can be a snob in this regard. I listen to Trance/Techno/House and Classical music and spend my time reading, playing video games and occasionally writing. These distractions all aid me on my journey... so I don't get bored before I reach the end.

I am now using a MacBook Pro as my machine, toted around in my new Timbuk2 messenger bag.

Josh Schramm

Josh now works at Progressive in something to do with computers and is very respectable. However, once he was not and I knew him then. Josh lived with Cooz and Charles and has his own blog up which he updates semi-infrequently. Other than a wish he updated more, the site is a fun read. He has usually stuff on there about what he has been up to and when he does write it is good stuff. You really should check it out and while he does not pontificate often, sometimes it is just what one is looking for.

The nickname is one that Shahyan calls himself and his blog. Shahyan is from Pakistan and if you ever read the news from South Asia you would think we would be mortal enemies. Yet, needless to say, we are not. I met Shahyan in my freshman year through my R.A. Shahyan always has insightful things to say and is always ranting about something or the other himself. I helped him setup his blog, but he now seems to have moved considerably forward with it. If you want to hear something intelligent from someone in the Scholars program at UD who has no qualms about expressing his opinion, I suggest you click the link below. The entertainment is worth the download.

I came to know Beth through Camille. Her boyfriend Jeff and I are a little too addicted to video games, heh. Beth is an English major, which had happened just recently. She is also my go to person for when I have grammatical questions. The nit-pickings are not my forte. Her blog on LiveJournal is what a blog should be, angsty and informative. It is a great read when you have some free time and actually unlike most of those on my blog updated very frequently. For a really good read and at times to even learn something check her blog out.

I met Natela through debate in high school and well things have grown as they have. She is quite a nice girl, though fixated on debate a little too much. Still better than drugs. She is now dating someone who is possibly my best friend, Kevin Lim and her LiveJournal is an interesting place. Apparently you need to sign up and be her friend to see those locked posts. But, I am of the opinion that if you have something to say let all the world see it. Still her journal is fun whenever it gets updated and is really worth a good looking at.

I thought that Ben might actually have something interesting to say once in a while that did not revolve around the subject of gay. So I hosted him up on Sanity's Edge and he does post often enough. It is actually quite a good read when he does post. Ben was my roommate for my last semester at UD (Fall '04). We had quite a good number of jokes and a lot of laughs. Now he has a whole room to himself. Well so do I. He plays a lot of basketball and was converted to the love of Sports Night by me. I guess I did one thing good. Pictures of his 21st birthday are in the photos section so you should check that out.

Nicholas “Vici” Vicen

Nick Vicen... wow about one of the first handful of people I met when I first came to UD. Nick Vicen and his roommate Greg lived across from me Freshman year on the 4th floor of Sheehy up in Stuart. We became really good friends and though you might not think it by looking at him the man is a big geek. The things we do together revolve around drinking, video games, Magic, women (before I met Camille) and bitching about a variety of things. Vicen is one of the nicest people I probably know... and his tales are quite legendary and precede even him. This is his blog and it is off to a good start... but just don't believe him when he says he is not a nerd, heh.

Edit: Site down because not updated.

Charles “chaz” Keating

Chaz I met through a variety of circumstances and many mutual friends. We related because our laments were the same and our interests even more similar. After much cajoling and clamoring we have finally gotten him to create a blog. While it does not look great, it has what it needs: thoughts of Chaz. So go on and see what the man is thinking of. Usual it is quite random and funny.

One of the first people I met at Dayton when I went with a bunch to see Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. He is now a graduate student at UD and lives with his soon-to-be wife Kim. His blog has a lot of random things with a good many rants on varying subjects and is always a good read when you need a little distraction. He also has a gallery with a number of his drawings which are fun to check out and which most people should give a good gander.
